Emily Jiang, MD
Board Certified Family Physician
Dr. Emily is a Board Certified Family Physician who trained at Saint Louis University School of Medicine where she earned a distinction in community service. She completed her Family Medicine Residency training in Chicago at the community hospital Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with a focus in women’s health.
After residency she worked with an underserved population at the Cook County Jail where she saw first-hand how a stressful environment and a poor diet had profound negative emotional and physiological impacts on the inmates she was treating. During this time frame, Dr. Emily realized that she wanted to shift her focus to a more proactive approach to health.
Dr. Emily decided to further her education and training through the Institute of Functional Medicine where she learned about nutrition and lifestyle medicine. The exciting field of functional medicine immediately resonated with her as it focuses on the empowerment of the individual and promotes health through every day choices we can make as individuals. She loves collaborating with her patients to be able to come up with implementable and sustainable changes in their habits that will result in long-term positive outcomes. She believes that every individual has the potential to live a fulfilling and thriving life where they feel great in their bodies.
Dr. Emily lives in Camarillo with her husband and their two dogs. She loves cooking healthy nourishing meals, gardening and spending time outdoors in the beautiful southern California weather.
